Fiorella speaking on stage at a BHETA event

hi, nice to meet you

I'm Fiorella. I've been on both sides of the table.

Founder of LaRévolution, retail strategy partner for suppliers, author of The Retail Revolution and host of The Retail Revolution Diary.

BEFORE

On the buying side

Buyer for technical hardware at ADEO, then Product Sourcing Manager in hardware and tools at Kingfisher. Tenders, supplier selection, category decisions. I saw great products lose and average ones win, and it was rarely about the product.

NOW

On the supplier's side

I build business development strategies that create customer demand and buyer interest: brand, private label, tenders and negotiation, European expansion, and systems for sales and buying teams. Across all categories. My clients keep the relationship with their buyers. I never step into it directly.

ALSO

An idea box for brands

I regularly generate brand concepts built around a manufacturer's constraints and ambitions. Most recently, with a French manufacturer, we developed a complete garden studio universe: a modern product, its brand and its whole world. Year-one turnover ambition, in the pessimistic scenario: €1.2M.

what I believe

Three things retail taught me.

  1. 1.Suppliers rarely lose on product. They lose on positioning. How you are positioned, structured and presented decides more than your catalogue.
  2. 2.Buyers choose offers, not products.Value, differentiation, commercial potential, and the supplier behind the offer.
  3. 3.Retail selects suppliers. It doesn't prepare them.Nobody explains the rules. That's the gap I close.

off the clock

When I'm not working, I'm reading books. Or writing them.

I'm French, based in the north of France, and often on the road: visiting stores, walking through supplier factories, or simply discovering new cultures.
